I recently purchased an adjustable foot option for the Freedom I am putting together. It seems the portion of the foot that slides into the underside of the extrusion is deeper than the standard foot, therefore the distance from the outer edge of the foot to the thread for the bolt is about 1.5-2\" further than the standard standard foot. As such, my bolt from my strap is and inch or so too short now. I would hate to not be able to use these. If I can find a longer bolt, would this be risky as it is out of original design (don't need it departing the vehcile). Any other ideas?
BTW, the strap kit is the Ford Expedition Quick Disconnect Strap kit for over the driver/passenger pillar, however I would be willing to guess most strap kits would have the same problem |

I am not an expert, but I am sure you would be fine. It took me a few adjustment tries to get mine fit right on my 02 F150, but I got it right. I thought at first I needed longer bolts, but found I did not have it adjusted right. Here are a few pictures of my 50\" Liberty on my truck.
