[quoteMontgomery County Maryland's Fire and Rescue Service has recently decided that they have no need for their turn out coats. With the new 2008 tactics firefighter's will no longer be exposed to high temperatures because it's just to dangerous. With the new light weight construction that we encounter today, interior firefighting is a thing of the past. In today's day and age we will go to an immediate exterior attack. After the fire is darken down from the exterior firefighters will go in the structure to mop up and collect any dead body's For this type of attack only a safety vest will be required for upper body protection. The property section of the department doesn't want firefighter's getting their shoes dirty which is why turn out pants will continue to be worn. The property section will slowly replace turn out pants with 3/4 boots which cost less and still fit the job requirements.
Ok that last post didnt work like the preview showed. I just cant believe that they would write the part about mopping up and picking up the dead bodies, and that they need there pants to keep there shoes cleaned, disgusting.

Sounds like someone posted this as a result of not being issued something they wanted.

is that a joke? besides fdny, and they use black gear. I do not think anyone would spend 1 million in one shot like that.

I'm with Pimp. Me thinks this is more of a political statement than an actual auction....

Makes me wonder how much it cost them to post it Shocked

Definitely a statement about something. The verbage is too sarcastic and besides, nothing in the auction is plausable, especially the fact that they would sell everything on ebay in one shot.
