Once again the black cloud follows me.
Steve \"Tiny\" Kline of the Stone Park & Morris Fire Protection District in Illinois passed away this afternoon at the Stone Park Fire Department. Steve was good friend of many and engineer on my shift and will be missed. More info to follow soon. Sad

Thanks everyone. While this has not been my first, it's definitely an experience I do not wish on anyone; doing compressions on your friend in the day room. Jeff, passed in a collision nearly 5 years ago, now \"tiny\".

With great sadness, the Stone Park Fire Department and the Morris Fire Protection & Ambulance District
announces the passing of Firefighter/Paramedic Steve Kline, known
to many as �Tiny�, who passed away suddenly today (November 18, 2008). Steve was
37 years old and has been in the fire service for over 13 years.
Steve was on duty today at Stone Park when he became ill. He was transported by ambulance to Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Steve was well known throughout the area as well as the state for his work in the fire service.
His passing will touch many lives.
Services for Firefighter/Paramedic Steve Kline are being handled by U.C. Davis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 2:00 pm till 8:00 pm with a fire department walk through at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10:00.

The visitation and the funeral will be at the Morris Fire
Protection & Ambulance District�s Station 2 at 2301 Ashton Road, Morris, IL 60450.

Thank you to everyone for their e mails and cards sent to us. It was a great wake and funeral (if you can call one good).
During the wake Morris had a structure fire with it already vented out the roof and blowing out three windows while we were all there with him, the little bastards way of getting back at us Twisted Evil.
Currently we are working on memorial stickers for distribution and shortly I'll be trying to find someone that can make a couple of bronze plaques, one for Steve and one for Jeff to be mounted on each engine.
Now it's just paperwork time to deal with the IDOL and the feds as to see if there was something at fault at the workplace and to make sure that his mother gets his benefits.
