Yea ive checked out Hope's site before (its in my favorites now) hehe that recuitment video is pretty dang sweet! i had to laugh when i saw the warning for excessive use of powercall and q2b sirens...which to be honest doesnt even touch the one video for the BIG downtown fire! i think they let up off the Q maybe 4 times? in the several min. video

Holy JESUS they like that Q dont they???!! With as many videos as I just watched, I found myself thinking 2 things:
1. That Q has got to blow up sooner or later
2. I could probably drive around this town with no map with as many videos as i just watched.

Funny you mention that. I finally got around to watching this video last night. As soon as they arrive on scene, I got a small adrenaline feeling. A split second later, we got toned to a CO alarm that included two vomiting patients. Talk about a cool transition. It wasn't a minute later that I was making my own siren sounds while going down a dark road.

Aw, come on! You don't ever run code with no headlights and just wig-wags and your other lights to light the road up? Very attention getting!

These guys are about an hour north of me. Where having really really bad financial problems. Where to the point where they almost shut down. Think everything is up and going now.

Them. Form management ran it into the ground, you know how that goes. As far as my station we have problems like any other department but we arent so far over our head that we couldnt get out of it if we wanted to. Just got a newer aerial, went from a 1950ish, to an 89 Sutphen mid mount tower, at the end of the month we are getting our new quick attack, and this summer we are starting to spec out an new Engine/ Rescue before that new NFPA thing kicks in.

New NFPA thing? Are you referring to an updated NFPA 1901 spec, or the updated federal emissions standards that has the industry in a buzz?
