Ok, guys, I got the chance to add most of my pics of Roscommon this evening - wasn't at the best WiFi spot, though, so I lost connection a couple times, eventually gave up Confused I added a few more when I got home, but I'm done for now. I'll add the rest (the rest of the parade and a few more of the memorial statue and grounds) this weekend sometime. The link and instructions are in my original post about Pat linked below.

or go directly to

(it requires a password, it's firewolf, and after you log in, you probably will have to click on the Roscommon sub-album, the link to the sub-album shows up right above the pictures on the opening page once you log in)

\"Good Lord a'willin' and the crick don't rise,\" I will be there! Captain Thornton will be added to the monument this year (he wasn't added last year at his wife's request so she could attend the ceremonies in Colorado Springs), and I intend to be there to honor him.

You will probably be hard pressed to find anything open. Most are usually booked before the 1st of the year. But it won't hurt to try; you just never know.

Pat ... Where do you plan on staying at? In your truck? or Hotel?

What hotels or Motels are in the area or within 5-10 miles? I don't get much when I search Roscommon on Google

There isn't many in that small town. Except for a few notell motels...

You might have better luck staying 30 miles away in either Greyling or Westbranch or even in Higgins Lake

Ok, I think I've gotten the last of the pics uploaded. At some point I'll go back through and make sure the only ones missing are the blurry ones Smile but I think they're all there. Enjoy . . .

Grayling is approximately 10-15 miles north. I am staying at the Super8 which is about halfway between.
