started on my 8000 rebuild today

i took it all apart to today gave the base a quick simple green job. it is a simple 2 strobe the p/s i think is shot i am gonna see if i can get it fixed locally or maybe go with an old 9000 p/s

i need some tips on lens cleaning and such i am not shure if i want to wet sand

Novus or Plexus + Mother's Powerball. The Powerball saves a ton of time and energy.

Your not kiddin' . I spent about an average of 2 hours on each Twinsonic lens, using up to four different grits of sandpaper.

Then you have to have somebody help you buff them. I usually hold it down tight while my buddy, who is a bodyman, buffs them with a liquid compound.

Then we buff them again with a finishing polish.

I am usually Very splattered with compound when we finish Smile

IMO, the results are well worth it.

Good luck with the 8000 bar. They are one of my favorites.

i am not going for the complete new look the lenss are in good shape nut a little cloudy. nd ideas for getting the sticky stuff from the black label stuff on top of the lens off


i think i may end up with the 9000 suppyl in it. then it will not have a speaker in it. i used the cleaner i use on my trucks rims and it worked out great
