Thread: Which is better?

    Which is better?

When you post your "which is better" thread, please make sure that you include some criteria about your application and what features you need. The more info you give the better the replies will be. I am going to start removing posts that simply ask "which is better". Such posts are so subjective the end up being lists of personal opinions, not a discussion of what works best for the application.

Example of a good thread: I want to install a mini lightbar on my headache rack on a 2004 silverado for lights and siren (full code) response. It needs to be low profile, low amp draw and have good side coverage. The dome should be clear and the LED or light color needs to be red/clear front and red/amber rear. I have the field narrowed down to a responder LP, mini justice and mini liberty. Which do you think has the best bang for the buck? Is the liberty worth the extra money for the better intersection coverage?

Example of a worthless thread: Which is better the liberty or the defender?

Exactly. Such threads are a waste of space and push valid info off the front page. They will now be deleted.

    maybe off topic.

But another example is when someone has their mind set on two lights and can't make their mind up. Then another user comes and says you should use a totally different light.

When someone posts their entire train of thought and then asks for input, it's completely valid to suggest another type of light when they might not even be aware of it.

And the Ford/Chevy/Dodge arguments are just retarded. Discussion on comparable models however, are not. It's rather important to discuss these things for significant features and capacity. Like the Taurus PPV having a column shifter.

Theonly ones I have a problem with are the straight up "which is better" posts.... the ones w/o any other info. I think calling them "Ford vs Chev threads" is apt.
