Thread: Post "Like" System

We have implemented a new system similar to the Facebook "Like" system or the +1 from Google+.

We encourage members to use this as opposed to useless one word (or one smiley) posts that cloud up some threads. Posts with a large amount of "Likes" will help prioritize the content as "useful", and members will be able to identify the content more easily and quickly.

The "Like" link is found at the bottom right corner of every post. Once likes are received on a post, a box will appear at the bottom of the post showing who has clicked the "Like" link so far (for that post).

This system has nothing to do with reputation goals, you are not necessarily liking the author of the post, but instead the actual content of the post.

How do i disable the auto pm I get when someone likes my post?

There is now an option HERE that allows you to disable the notification of new "Likes".

My only recommendation would be lose the heart, Its a little to "happy" for me maybe a thumbs up or something..... just a thought.

Yeah, I'm not too crazy about that either, but it is not worth the trouble involved to change it, and keep changing it with every update of the software
