Thread: Site Performance: What is Your Opinion?

Since this past Monday (December 5th), have you noticed any improvement in technical performance of the site? There have been no feature changes or anything, this question is related strictly to server functions (speed). Do pages seem to load quicker? Have you experienced any timeout errors or database errors?

Remember, this survey is only inquiring about a time frame starting early Monday morning.

Seems to have been loading faster to me, both on my phone and on the network at home, but at home I do have a 60mpbs connection though. The photos in the posts are ALOT faster, at least to me they seem to be.

I honestly haven't noticed any difference. But then again, I haven't been on the site nearly as much as I usually am, as of late.

Seems about the same to me. IE with XP on a P4 (DSL)

ard to tell for sure with the internet Im stealling from across the street... But I'd say it is faster

I honestly can't really tell Jimmy... I jump from a myriad of different machines and networks so I can't really contrast and compare... Sorry bro, but I'm sure you're working your tail off with trying to get this site to be the best it possibly can be...

Seems the same to me and im using the same laptop and varizon wireless internet for my mini hp.

Seems slightly faster on a real machine and way faster on a phone. I don't know if there was even any intentions on that happening, or if it's actually happening, but that's my perception.

On a computer I used to get some minor lag every few loads or so when I'm navigating around, so far since the changes I haven't had any lags at all and I've been around the site many a time.

Before Dec 5th, I noticed it was a bit slow. Now it seems faster.

seems much faster. although i'm getting some run off on the right side occationaly. this mornig in PM my imocons where way off to the right and who's online where also way to the right. using IE 8.

Are you running in compatibility mode? That's what it sounds like.

"Compatibility Mode" is the icon next to the address bar that looks like a ripped piece of paper...

For IE8 is should look like this...

Its been a while since i was last on about 3 months now...but it seems to run smoother and faster keep up the good work...

I wish they would put the last time u visted back on the main page tho...
