    911EP 36 install ideas please.

I just purchased this light from a forum member and I want to install it on the upper rear headliner on my crown vic, I tried the wire hanger trick but this bar is way to heavy to be mounted like that, thank you in advance for your help and ideas.

How about L-brackets, using short machine screws with a washer and nut above the headliner so it does'nt pull thru? I've seen it done/work in the past mounting dashlights to the front headliners. Might be worth a shot, good luck.

This is the best way I have found just get the big washers. I tried the coat hanger as well with no luck.

That's how I used to have my TDWL36 mounted, and never had any problems!

I typically install 1/4x20 nutcerts (rivet nuts) in the two rear headliner push-pin holes. Then mount brackets there. Have to be careful boring out holes to the 3/8" (25/64 is actually correct size but 3/8 works well enough).

I saw those holes, I think I'm going to try that way better since it will be mounted to a metal surface
