    Chicago PD Whelen Edges

Does anyone know the exact configuration of the Chicago PD Whelen Edges. I know the lens configuration and functions of the lights. I am looking for the lens lengths or a close approximation. What Whelen Edge parts were inside. And was it an EB6 power supply? I know there were four strobes to the front. It has been too long since I have seen one to remember if it was just 2 or 4 strobes to the rear. Any help is appreciated. I have a 9000 frame that I would like to just convert to a CPD-style Edge.

I found some on Craigslist a few years ago. The guy had 5 for $500 or $125 each. When I called him for one, he changed his mind and wouldn't sell them individually, only as a group. He even offered all 5 for $400. If I only had the $400 at the time. Oh well.

    Front: strobe-takedown-strobe{black center}strobe-takedown-strobe
    Rear: strobe-red brake light-{black center}-red brake light-strobe

I always thought they were 4 strobe, 1 in each corner, takedowns, front flashers, rear flashers and STT.

You can clearly see that the bar has 4 strobes to the front at 00:22.

    So which is it?

CPD bars had no flashing halogen. The bars are Strobe,TD Strobe, Black, Strobe TD.Strobe on the front Rear is Strobe, Brake, nothing, Black,Nothing Brake, strobe. The cars are very low key They only other lights when the strobe bars were used was a Headlight flasher.

Yeah, that's one. Maybe I can grab that and save the trouble.

Thanks for all of the replies. Yeah, I knew there were four strobes to the front, just wasn't sure about the rear. I believed it was only two, but haven't seen one lit up from the rear in quite some time. I did not know the stop lights were incandescent either, so that helped.

The Edges and Jetstrobes are disappearing from service, so I figured it was time to add a CPD-spec Edge to the collection alongside the Illinois State Police-spec MX7000 and New Orleans PD-spec Vector.

That guy is plain crazy. I've called him a dozen times over the last few years, trying to buy something or another. Every time I call him, all he wants to do is rant about something. It's about impossible to get a word in edgewise.
