    Diodes for HLF?

Okay, so i have a HLF but i need some diodes to prevent back feed when i have the high beam harness connected. What type of Diodes do i need and what voltage would be good? I'm a total noob at this.

You need to do it right by getting the right HLF. Adding diodes will not work correctly.

Well i don't have a HLF with an over ride and i'm not going to buy a 4th hlf for this. So its gunna work or its not going to happen at all. The diodes aren't for the HLF they're for the factory high beam wires, to prevent feedback. People do it all the time on TLF's so why not on HLF's???

If you just need a trigger circuit from the high beam wire, a 3a diode of any type would do. 1a is just too small to work with.

What about voltage? Does it need to be 12volts?

Anything above 50v is fine. I use 3a 200v diodes which is pretty common for upfitters.

Yep. We do similar things to work with traffic advisors and door cut-outs on certain setups.

Well after about two hours i got the diodes i need and got it all hooked up! Works flawlessly! I opted for the 200v 3am diodes.
