    Dodge Ram Drivers

Ok guys need some real help with this one. Myself and the local light shop has tried to put a interior light bar in the truck. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT-Sport. We have tried the sho-me full and split as well as the fenix pegusas full and split and made coustom brackets. With all the lights they either hit the over-head, or mount so low they are in my line of sight. Any one else had this problem. Or know anything else i can do.
Does anyone know if the newer dodge rams are double wall head-lights and tail lights or the single wall??

I don't know about the headlights, but why not try grille lights? That's what I have in my RAM

Double wall headlights. If you check out my company YouTube you can see our ram demo. Does yours have the overhead console?

I wasn't aware Sho-me had an interior lightbar. Regardless, I've personally put a SVP STARBURST Phantom in to a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 and I know my guys have put them into other 2500s and 1500s. Not sure about the SLT-Sport, but I doubt it makes a difference.

Mine does have the over head console with the garage door opener, map lights and the button for the sliding back glass. I have looked at other models of trucks like mine and the SLT-Sport has the larger over head consoles in them. I have thought about going with grille lights, but im trying to go for the slick look. I have install the billet grill so the light would have to mount on the outside, if they went behind I would be worried that not enought of the light would get thru. An sorry I was corrected by my friend it was not a sho-me it was the SVT Phantom.

SVP Phantom? There was a company selling a knock off that had a similar name, something like Street Phantom. If you are using the SVP Phantom, do you know if it was the full or split and which bracket set you are using? With the split lightbar and universal bracket, the only thing that should be a problem would be weird clip-style visor mounts on some Japanese cars and some foreign convertibles.

We started off with the full, but because of the over head console. They shipped it back to get the split with the universal brackets. With the brackets the light was tilted upwards and mounted very low. Once that didnt work we order the fenix pegusas with the ram 1500 brackets, which was the same way. There was not a problem with the way it mounted on the truck to the visors, just the after effect once the light was put on. The pegusas universal brackets should be here tomorrow and we are going to try them to see if they fix the problem. I'll get back with everyone once we try.

On the plus note fenix has been a very good company to work with. From what the rep told me, this is not the 1st time they have run into this problem with the 09 and up dodge ram. An is working with me to help correct the problem.

2009 & newer are a totally different body style.

What fits in 2008 & older will probably NOT work in 2009 & newer.

I had a 2006 Ram 2500 & a 2011 Ram 1500....night & day difference in body styles, cab & almost everything else you can think of.
