    Hence my second statement.

Function over fashion is enough for some. Has been for me at times.

If code3kurt or BB215 is around i wondered whether these are the new/modifiedMX lightbars that are appearing on Highway cars in NSW Australia?

It's entirely possible - Australia's been using Code 3 lights for quite some time, so it certainly makes sense.

looks like REvoltex already makes them.
Looking at this, they are now copying Edge, Jetsteams, MX bars ect.

i think that it's a poor way to compete with other budget-friendly lightbars from the other big 3; this one is nothing exceptional and it's pretty depopulated. My guess is that it'll be priced around $1,100, and for that price, I'd rather get an SOS epl900 or tomar scorpion

I dunno... if I were going to rebuild an MX lower, I've always had the urge to build one with 4 intersection lights, a 6 lamp arrow to the rear, 4 halogen flashers to the front, and TD in steady and flashing.

This bar..... ZZZZZZZZZ. So 5 years ago.

If they could get it under $1000 with T/Ds & alleys, they'd do some business..

Well, in all fairness, the 2100 is just an Excalibur with lo-pro top domes....same with the Edge and Freedom, or Patriot and Liberty. Not all people who buy lights have the knowledge, skill, or care to build on on their own. Why wait and buy an old MX, some LED heads, and the top domes when you can have the same thing pre-built?? I'd rather make my own bar, but not everyone is like us here on eLb.

Not really cause we have been able to get a the 2100 ad Justice for under a $1000 for a while now. Also don't forget you can get the Sirennet bars in the $600-$800 range.

I made the same joke years ago... I said, what's next LEDs in an aerodynic shell? .... the answer was a resounding yes. It makes sense that compaines use existing housings.... no retooling, people are used to them etc.

Not onto Highway cars thankfully. In NSW all Highway vehicles are being rolled out with the Code 3 Defender replacing their MX's. The "Ranger" has made an appearance on some non-frontline vehicles such as "school liaison" vehicles.

Yes. But should the ledhawk have clear or colored domes?

Shame to see the MX slowly disappear - it had many upgrades in the fleet. Thanks for advising its the Defender. Love the stream lined look of the Road Alert ?

They'll still be around for a while. The MX's taken off Highway cars will be put onto General Duties and other vehicles replacing the Hazard 90 Series lightbars they use.
