wow, i think that looks like crap and a waste of $200. for roughly the same price, i would take the pinnacle hands down over that
i know that some ppl talk about how great small mini lightbars are for undercovers needing a "throw light," but to be honest, i've only seen 1 mini lightbar ever used as a "throw light," so i don't think it's worth it to have one (since most ppl won't take the time to set it up) and personally don't see why companies are trying to release smaller versions of these lightbars

Code-3 built it for them, it is their new Shield Minibar instead of 10 of the XT3 LEDs (coming from Taiwan) it is using 4 of Torus LEDs. Probably lacks off axis coverage, but there is a lot of demand for small minibars at the $200 price point, so I'm guessing it will sell well.

Wal-Mart rent-a-cops? Actually, the company doing parking lot security for the local Wal-Mart uses a two rotator halogen light. Much more effective than the TIR minibar used at a large shopping center across the street.

You would think they would have a video on their site. Kinda hard to make any kind of assessment over a single picture.

Looks kinda cheap IMO. Don't think I'd personally buy it. Would be nice to see flash patterns though.

    Construction / DOT uses them.

I also had one on my POV when my POV was a smaller vehicle. Now I have a full sized truck so I run a full sized bar.

Code 3 will only supply it with a clear lens if you order it with amber LED's. So much for that idea.

Less expensive, fewer parts to stock, and purchasing white LEDs in bulk can actually get them down below the prices of blue and green, and near red and amber.

Also, the White LEDs are getting so much brighter and more efficient (due to the DOE grants), this may be a sign of the future, white LEDs behind colored lenses.

    Jared,

I believe he is talking about a clear dome. They will put a clear dome on a mini-bar with amber LED's but won't do it for any other color. This is per their inside sales.

Are we sure that the LEDs are Red and not White LEDs behind a Red Lens?

I have yet to see a major manufacturer do that, but I guess it's possible. I don't see the point. They do offer an amber led / clear lens version. Interesting.

All their other mini lightbars either are a short version of a full-size bar, don't provide full 360-degree visibility, or are available with strobes or rotators instead of LED's. They've got to have at least one basic LED-only minibar, right?

But with one led in each direction, this is not a minibar, it's more of a beacon.

Come up with something revolutionary or redesigned, like the Century.... not the same ole' crap.
