The Official "Identify This Light or Lightbar" Thread

There is this lightbar that is used by Victorian Police (Australia) and someone posted a picture of one in guess the emergency vehicle game.

    Anyone know what it is?

That looks like an Optimax. I believe it is made PrimerHazard. We have one at the station that I'm trying to get.

There's a tow truck at a Cloverdale, Virginia gas station that has a long amber one of those. I quite like them, i'd like to see more of them on American police vehicles. (I mostly see them on pix of Polish and British police vehicles)

No, that's not an Optimax - the Optimax is rather square and angular, this is very round and curved.

That's a Premier Hazard Maxim lightbar.

OMG! this is Code 3's UK branch! They're selling the MX7000! Nice. They also sell a minibar suspiciously similar to the Code 3 LP6100, they call it the Minimax, and their Traffic Max LED lightbar looks a lot like Code 3's LED bars. They've got the DeckBlaster, and the Dashlaser M is now called the Model 880 Beacon.

I just found a new lightbar maker. That makes me happy. (And I'd been wondering about that Maxim for quite a while too...)

Thanks a lot. I find them pretty ugly and but they are using other things such as MX7000s now and Hazard 10 & 20 series lighbars

Doesn't look like the tomar blade to me.

    This is the Tomar Blade

    It's a D&R Prowler lightbar.

Doesn't really look very similar to the D&R in the link above. Although, if it is a D&R I wouldn't call it a knockoff.

Although could be from this company: http://starway999.en.made-in-china.c...F-A900AB-.html
If it is a China-made bar and you're thinking of buying one you can do a lot better on this board for the same price.

+1 I was thinking it looked like a knock off of Code 3's 2100 e series bar. With the corner 6 up Optixs and economy xt3s for the rest.

They are ok... basically looks like you populated a 2100 bar with tir3s.. Not my favorite bar, but it works fine. For the $$$ I'd go with something else.

Im very certain its D&R. Ontario Hydro has a few 24" ish bars like that with alleys, Ministry of natural resources has the same bar also, plus a local hot head construction company owner has one.

Got one on my patrol truck...I hate it. But I like that truck for patrol more than the other truck, which has an Arjent which I like more. I just can't win.

No, that is no Hella or Hänsch bar... I was thinking French Mercura or Swedisch Itab but I'm not sure.

I think it's made in South Africa.

Here's a few photos a member posted a while ago. I can't remember his elb ID.
