You can see one of the bulbs on the driver side that doesn´t move. I think the other three bulbs are shining to to back of the bar so they can´t be seen from the front.
If you watch the rotators spinning on the passenger side you can see that there is one moment in each turn that only one bulb can be seen from the front. So my guess is that the blue side is stuck at that moment.

Oh that poor thing! Someone go and fix it up, that's just too much old crap that's not working. Only ONE of those blue lights is working, and the red ones don't really look that happy either.

I see they intend to fix it up, please do!

Those domes are purple and green for a reason, as red and blue wouldn't be legal for the vehicle. The writing on the hood says it's "not an ambulance" and the door writing refers to a private business. If they were tinted, probably from being originally clear, that's a strong possibility, as I don't recall XL domes being available in purple or green.

Is this light red or amber and what is it?

Found this online whilst looking at used trucks, not this particular one, but it caught my attention. It is on a truck at a used lot. Some pics look amber but then some look red to me. And, who makes this thing? They couldn't possibly be dumb enough to try to sell a vehicle with a red light on it could they?

    It's red.

I think Gall's sold this light awhile back. It probably has a siren speaker in the center lower section.

Looks red to me. Code 3 made this mini lightbar, It is the big brother to the 420 minibar. Came with takedowns, alleys, and rear flashers.

Looks to me like that light is bolted to the roof, so they probably figured it's better to leave it and try to sell the vehicle to someone who uses lighting. If they remove it and have 4 holes showing, it would bring less and a buyer may be annoyed with dealing with them. Plus, it obviously needs a paint job, which would be a solution to covering a silicone or bondo patching job on the holes. Then again, maybe they are too lazy to try to access the nuts holding the bolts under the headliner, assuming they have nuts.
A few years ago, we had a local used car dealer buy a bunch of surplus local police cars at an auction, and all the city did was remove the two way radios. The lightbars, sirens, consoles, POLICE door logo, etc. was left intact, and the dealer put one on his lot and was trying to sell it for $5000 or so. People would test drive it and play with the equipment while on public streets. A local TV station got complaints about it and did a televised story from the roadside in front of the lot. It pissed the dealer off, but also attracted the state attorney general's attention, and his office had the dealer remove the car from the lot and then remove the equipment and signage on all of the cars before he was allowed to put them on the lot to sell. He wound up selling several, after everything was removed, but most went to a local U pull it type parts yard, where they were promptly stripped out. I wound up getting lots of leftover strobe cable that was complete with both plugs, several HAW strobe bulbs they missed taking out, a few headlight flashers that were under the dash, and even a couple of power supplies that were hidden under the front seat.

Actually, that would have been the short lived SVP (back when they were purchased by Star) Mighty Light. The two upper rotators are synchronized so that they don't flash at the same time. You could fit a 100 watt atlas driver in between the diamond mirror and have a siren speaker. The middle opening in the front is the speaker. You could get the bottom deck with flasher, take downs, and alleys. Oh, it's red!

I can't remember who, but someone here had one for sale in the collectible section.

There was a green one that sold on eBay recently.

This was made by SVP, the rotators were not synchronized though. It did have siren and lower deck options. See the catalog below.

"New for 1999" So it wouldn't be worth my time to offer them $50 bucks for the light I'm guessing. I thought it was older than that, certainly looks so.

They are not really rare... discontinued in 2001 or 2002 I think. I'd pay $50 max for one....

.....but not for that one, even on a sunny day.
It looks pretty weather beaten (judging from the rusty bolts) and looking at the paint job on that roof, it probably hasn't been taken very good care of.

That one might be worth $25 depending on the condition of the speaker driver.

We had a dealer by me a few years ago that who had an Impala from a toen in next county. Still fully marked blue & white, Edge bar, screen, push bar, the town's name was taken off, but it still said "Police" in 10 inch letters on the side. He had it parked right inside the driveway entrance. After 2 days, our local police made him strip it down.

They are cloudy, but not the worst I've seen. Union, NJ PD used to have MX's soo bad, that you couldn't see the rotators under the domes. When they were on, it looked like they just glowed.

It is a Tomar 930 Heilobe bar with a center strobe. I can't tell if it is a preemption or not. The corners are strobe.

That bar is made in South Africa by Thru Rainbow Analysis then sold to a guy in the east midlands who sells it to SP services. It's rubbish, the rotators nearly stop if you switch on siren and rear reds lol. They don't really sell them here anymore but there's still lots of full length versions on tow trucks where they used to screw three minis together and call it a lightbar.

The South African bar on the other page is the fastback, affectionatly known as the fastscrap. it was developed in conjunction with Federal Signal in the eighties. The shape was originaly designed to fit box body ambulances.

^^^Too bad,the design seems like a heck of an idea, other than having the siren blaring right above your head like the old days.

Won't meet many OSHA and other requirements.... overhead/roof mounted sirens are a thing of the past.
