    Putting lights on power wheels

I know there used to be a thread that might have explained how to do it, but I can't find it. My daughter saw the video on here last night of the kids power wheels toy with all the blinkies on it and now she wants woo-woos on her Barbie Mustang. I have a few ?'s maybe someone can help me with: Will the car's battery suppport having just a few older Sho Me 5mm led heads and maybe one Sho Me trio light hooked up to a flasher? If I remember, the battery is 6V, so is there even a way to use it? And finally, and maybe even my preferred method, is there some kind of small, affordable 12v battery I could add to power the lights?

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for, not sure why I couldn't find it in search.

Just invest in a 12v motorcycle battery. It'll handle everything for the woo-woos, and it'll make the Barbie convertible get a little "bang for the buck" in the speed department. ;P

Firetruck sporting 2 Whelen Cadets, Front LED's and rear strobes. Code 3 model 3900 siren.

I used an additional 12v powewheels battery to power the accessories. That way I can use the same charger to re-charge it as needed.

I removed the circuit board from the siren chasis so I could mount it under the dash. Use a foot switch hooked up to the manual lead on the siren so it operates as a Q would. Push the foot pedal siren winds up and will peak and hold until you let go of the pedal.

I put some resistors in speaker line and a volume control knob under the dash so I could adjust volume for indoor levels. Outside it only gets loud enough so the siren can be heard around the house. It's only an outdoor CB speaker so it wont go very loud anyway. I think it was a 5 watt speaker.

Kids love it. Ride it in parades next to big trucks handing out candy.

I forgot to mention, I replaced the hose on the truck with a longer one so it would reach up to the seat. The kids put ice water in the tank and would squirt the crowd with cool water as they went by.

Here they are in "staging" lol
