South Georgia209 PostsQuestion on 2012 Tahoe intersection warning
Ok I have a install coming up on a 2012 Tahoe. Looking at intersection ideas. Customer will not have a push bumper. Looking at the Whelen linz6 and groomet mount. How hard is it to install in the side of the bumper? Does it come with a template? Im good with a dremel so not worried about the cutting just asking if they include something to go by or is it cut and fit and cut and fit again. I like the 10-75 mounts for the tag but again customer is a no go. And my only dislike of them is that they are so low.

You might try vertex surface mounts put one on the front bumper, 2 or 3 down where a step rail would go, and an additional one on the back bumper.

Might try something like these: TraffiCutter for the Chevy Tahoe - Side Intersection Warning Lights.

Honolulu, HI31 PostsWhelen does not include a 1:1 scale template with the RGROMMET kit for the LINZ6/LIN3. Their instructions include a diagram with dimensions of the cutout - but the #'s are in metric. The instructions included say to put the lighthead into the grommet before putting into your hole...
Placing the grommet into the hole before you install the lighthead from the rear will yield better results.

South Georgia209 PostsOk thank you IslandFleet, thats what I needed to know. The other link, more expensive and I really dont like them. Plus if they are Axixtech they are a no go. I have had nothing but failures with axixtech.
