I have a quick question about my slimlighter.......can you change out one of the light heads for a different color light head or is to be left in there without messing with it???
Any help would be great!!
Thanks,
Devin.

You can swap modules around, just cut the wires and crimp or solder the new light head in it.

It is funny that this would come up this week. I have a R/B tir-6 Slimlighter that I wanted to change to R/R and contacted both my dealer and Whelen to purchase a red module. Whelen will not sell a module as a "service part" since it is soldered to the board. If you can find someone to sell you the module please post it here as I will want to buy one too.... As pointed out above this can be done and I have done it several times before on other Whelen products.
So I was looking to do the same. I wanted to change out one of the colors on my slimlighter. Could I just buy any Whelen TIR6? Would it be a 500 series? 2 wire or 4 wire? I am very new to messing around with these LED lights. Any help would be great. Thanks.

What I meant was the circuit board that has the 6 diodes on it, not the two-output Slimlighter flasher itself.
Changing colors in a MM Whelen Slimlighter is as easy as sliding out the L-bracket that the suction cup bracket screws to, removing the lens, removing the optics, unscrewing the LED board from the heatsink, lifting the LED board up off of the contact pins, and simply reversing these steps with the new LED board.
