Connecticut786 PostsWhite Par36 LED WigWags/Foglights for Charger???
Hey guys, I have a question that I have been wondering about for a while now. Connecticut has some laws that are kind of a pain in the ass but, I do have a red/white/siren permit as an officer. The normal blue light permit as an officer only allows all blue unless you have a special headlight flasher permit which I also have. Since I don't plan on being a Captain forever, when I go back down I'd like to use the wig wag permit. I have a 2009 civilian charger with the headlights that are supposed to be used with wigwags...so at this point, I use HAW's in the fog lights as a headlight flasher. They are white. I also plan on connecting it to two push buttons on my Cencom Gold. Next year I plan on buying the 2012 or newer Charger Blacktop Edition, so they would need to work for that car too.
I'd like to do the same thing but have foglight LED's and use them as headlight flashers. I like whelen the most but they don't make the new fog/warning par36's in white. Below I listed the lights I like most, can someone explain how I might be able to use them as wigwags/warning lights and foglights. Which works best as a foglight too. I hope this makes sense. Again, they would be for a 2009 Charger SXT and a 2012 Charger Blacktop Edition.

Sirennet PAR-36 LED Spot/Flood Replacement Light - I'm not sure if these would fit in the fog lights location, but I really like them.

StarSignal (Star/SVP), Nova, and Sound-Off also make them, any of them should work fine. The Whelen are probably going to be the brightest, but also the most expensive.

Connecticut786 PostsI don't mind expensive if they are really good equipment and bright, how would I hook them up so that they can do both steady and wigwag on two seperate switches? I don't want to go through all the flashpatterns every time.

Connecticut786 PostsSo what do you think is better as foglights TIR6's or LINZ6's, they are pretty much the same price?

Tennessee420 PostsFor warning, the Sound Off PAR36 units are incredible. I posted a video last year demonstrating them.
However, if you want to use them in steady on, then choose another. SOS units will dim noticeably after a second or so in steady on mode. This is a heat-regulation mode, as the lights are designed for flashing. The steady on mode is useful for external flashers, but not constant on.
Instead, get a set of lights designed as work lights and then use an external flasher.

Arkansas4 PostsThe 2012 fog lights are 3.5" while the 2009 has 4" holes... So the 4" led fog lights above wont work without modifications.

Connecticut786 PostsI thought they were the same size LED heads just a different attachment thats added onto the back side of them. The newer ones look like there are four mini L-brackets with screws that go in. The old have a bracket that connects to the back of the lighthead thats about 2-3 inches long. Its not the same light head with two different brackets?

Connecticut786 PostsAlso, can I just use my vehicle foglights switch to the Code 3 700 flasher? Or does it have to be wired differently?
