    Cencom in a 2011 Sierra

I bought a 2011 Sierra yesterday, and now comes the big planning for all the warning equipment. Been thinking about getting a Cencom most likely, but maybe a smart siren even. Has anyone installed one in a New Body Style GM truck without putting a console in? I'm tryin to be as slick as possible. The idea I had bouncing around was flat mounting to the headliner, towards the back right next to the overhead console. That would make it available, and out of the way. Any more opinions or any advice?

    Thanks,
    Paul

First off, two things; Have you seen the Code3 Z3? It's much more user friendly than the CC or SS. Also I have a demo SOS SA380R lightly used if you are interested in that.

I recently installed a CC for a member here who is a Call FF. He wanted the CC flushmounted up top behind overhead console on his Silverado, which I did, but he found out after that it was really tough to see it, so we put another bracket on it and angled it.

    Jesse? Pics?

Pics are definatly going to be my friend if anyone can show me.

I haven't got anything set it stone. I'm still open to ideas on everything, just the cencom was the put thing that popped into my head. I believe going with the all in one control style is where I need to be, if I can find something to make it nice. I've finally got a really nice truck, so it's time to go over the top and make a really nice install.

HHS2200 if space is an issue. It's basically a CenCom with a smaller controller and three less outputs, and a whack load more siren tones.

I purchased the HHS2200 for my Avalanche and found it far superior to my previous CenCom Gold, mainly for space, but also for the THIRTY-SEVEN different siren tones, something the CenCom doesn't offer. Here is a picture of mine mounted:

I've never been a huge fan of the hand-held siren controllers. Just never has seemed like a good idea to be able to loose it in the passenger floorboard while running.

If you go and look at the Tahoe's that were just done for one of the PD's in TN (I forgot the name already), but the mounted the SS in the headliner using a console plate. I believe that's the way I'm going to go with it. Now I just have to decide exactly which brand I want. I'm leaning towards whelen just simply because of looks, but I'm still looking around.

Thanks for the photos guys. I always am looking for different ideas.
