I need help with siren speaker location on a 2008 dodge durango

I just bought a 2008 dodge durango and need help figuring out where to put my low pro siren speaker with bail bracket. Have any of you guys installed one on the same car? I think I can put it behind the grille on the bar in front of the radiator but I see alot of wire on it. Probably airbag sensors. I don't have a shop that will work on POV's here. I have a dodge ram that I mounted the speaker to the same bar but it was less congested.

I mounted my speaker on that bar in my 05 dodge 1500 I dont believe that wiring is airbags but you should be able to find a wiring diagram for routing or ask a dodge service guy what that wiring actually is I wouldnt have thought that the durango front end would be much different from the trucks

I have a 2007 Durango, don't screw into the bottom, bolt it to the top rail where the hood latch is. I made that mistake and I had to rewire the wires i cut with the screws, I thought it was a hard surface but it wasn't.

That bar on the durango has a long piece of plastic that runs along the top of the whole thing with a plug. I'm assuming that may be a airbag sensor. My ram 1500 doesn't have that plastic piece and was a awsome place to mount a speaker but dodge couldn't make things easy with the durango.

@ Decklights, did your hood close without touching the bolts? I thought about doing the same thing but was a little nervous of the speaker hitting the radiator. I may try it. Did you take your grill off for better access?

Yes I have a full size speaker on the drivers side, no problem closing it.

There is a bar behind the front bumber you can mount the speaker to. It is just below the radiator and has room for 2 speakers I mounted two speakers on my 07 durango there and have never had a problem. I find the sound isnt affected by mounting it there. it is very loud
