Very nice little unit....I actually like it but it really sucks only 100 watts.....that is a major let down.....
If it had Scientific Prototypes style tones and a 200 watt version, it would be perfect!
Now, the million dollar question....where can you buy one? I see nothing but press releases and demo videos on google.
$212 for the lcs869 takes 3 days to ship from star svp to my dealer.....2 more days left![]()
We will have the LCS869 and SS867 (same but without lighting control) up on our site within the next few days.

I'm surprised it doesn't have an airhorn hi/lo tone.
Jim - SireLite
It has both a Two-Tone (Hi-Lo) Air Horn (a first for Star/SVP) and a Two-Tone (Hi-Lo) Siren (standard on most Star/SVP Sirens). The Two-Tone Air Horn is an option for the Air Horn or any button on the siren. The Two-Tone Siren is a default step-up on Phaser (Phaser + Manual), and a replacement option for Phaser (mostly Europe).
Two-Tone Air Horn (0:34 - End)

This would be bad ass in a 4 switch/air tone only version... The 2 remote switches is helpful but I have enough volunteer installs that need a bit more switching but not necessarily all of the siren tones... The "air horn only" mode is great, especially for oil changes or letting someone borrow the vehicle, however, it's kind of a waste of the majority of the control head buttons.
I see your point, in my experience in most volunteer installs you don't NEED more switches, but the volunteer WANTS more switches (More switches = More Toys). In a patrol car with Takedowns, Alleys, Rear Cut-Off, Front Cut-Off, etc you need more switches.
Aside from need, the reason why there aren't more lighting control switches is that switches means relays, and quality relays add significant cost. Programming more siren tones is practically free and adding more buttons to control them is cheap, but when you talk about adding in relays the price goes up.

It really comes down to a cost issue. These products are marketed towards volunteers for POV use, where 100 Watts is usually sufficient. A 200 Watt siren is almost always (2) 100 Watt Amplifiers, and they Amplifier is the most expensive component in a siren, adding a second one would push these products out of the price range of most volunteers.
