    Whelen Alpha 12 w/HHS2200

Just curious if anyone has ever paired an alpha 12 siren with a CenCom, HHS, or any other siren to create dual tones like an HFSC9? I'm thinking about ordering one, hiding the amp, and running it off of one of the outputs on my HHS2200 and cycling the siren tones with horn ring. I know at present Fort Worth, Texas PD is running dual siren tones (typically wail/yelp, yelp/piercer) when the only unit visible in their cruisers are CenCom Golds. Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions?

I'm running a Carson Volunteer siren with my Cencom Gold. I mounted the Carson amp with the Cencom amp and use two of the outputs on the Cencom to control the wail and yelp on the Carson. Big difference while responding.

We do it all the time, just like you described. I have an Alpha 12M that I'll be running in conjunction with my 295SLSA6 to run the east-coast style Powercall and Manual mechanical siren until I get a CenCom Sapphire to replace the SLSA6.

On a side note, I'll be running the Alpha 12M on a foot switch for the manual mechanical sound.

that's awesome. Though I plan on tying my Alpha 12 to the horn ring with the HHS2200

Not to pick a fight, but I've been in 3 different FWPD cars over the last year and all of them had MPC01s not CenCom? Can the CenCom even do dual tone?
Need I say more? I think not

You have to understand their talking to different sirens and yes you can you take a Alpha whelen 12M or say 12Q Siren Amp put another speaker in you car or truck and take switch wire lead from amp to your cencom and you cold run cencom and Alpha the same time its sick they both have their own power feeds also the Alpa amp and cencom both have their own speakers and and run both same time

HELP Cencom Gold with Alpha 12Q amp hook up

Can anyone help me at my wits why can’t I run my Whelen Alpha 12Q Off one momentary switch I have my power to the red power with in line 12 amp fuse to bat same with ground I want to run this siren with one switch of my whelen cencom gold manual momentary switch I can only get it to work with using two switches a constant power on switch and control to a momentary. Once I hit the constant the Q turns on auto mode then by pressing the momentary I can manually ramp it up and down I have found no other configuration that seems to work if I hook up both wires together it will only run auto and if on momentary together it don’t ramp down it turns dead off. And my Default settings are on dip switches ???????????????

FYI, you can't just order an Alpha 12Q. They stopped making them long ago and the replacement 12M isn't nearly as good as the 12Q!
