Thread: Whelen CenCom

I just got a whelen cencom from our local pd, all i have been able to find online is for the new ones. Does anyone have or know where to find info in it?

What kind of info are you looking for? Install instructions, configuration, use...?

Yep install and config. I dont know much about them.

The Gold directions are the same as the Red, only difference is the plug for power, and its still quite easy to figure out. Just a different type connector. EVERYTHING else is the same, up to programming, and then its only minor differences.

You will need the program from Whelen...A simple over-the-phone request should do it.

Since the Cencom Red is several years old, Whelen may or may not still have the programming software for it.

Worst that can happen is you call them and they say sorry, no got.

this unit is not able to run dual tone , right? I didnt see anything about it but figured I would ask.

I called whelen for the gold software and they said I had to call the rep for the region to get it.

Found this on Elb though. The last post has links to the software. Not sure if they are the current version for each model but I downloaded the gold software and it works.
