    02 silverado fire wall question

Where would be the best place to drill a 1" hole into the fire wall to run wires? Thanks

In a spot that is clear on both sides. Usually next to a wire harness. There may probably be an unused plug in the firewall that you can use. Have you looked in the drivers compartment under the carpet?

I went through the factory harness on the driver's side. It was a long time ago but I know I cut a slit in the top of the rubber grommet on the engine compartment side. Then I think I used a sharp pointed object to pierce through the other side of the grommet and feed the wire through. Just be careful not to hit any factory wiring.
