Question Looking for a little help with a new Mopar...

Okay, so I'm taking a shot in the dark here hoping that someone has some kind of experience with the new Chrysler 300s. I recently purchased a new 2012 Chrysler 300 and I'm looking to make a custom switch panel for my console. Can anyone offer any input on how to go about dismantling the interior? I've done quite a few installs (on my own vehicles) so I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but I think because this is a new car and it's my baby, it makes me a little nervous about trying to pry on interior panels, etc. And it's such a new model, that I'm having a hard time finding anybody that's done anything like this to these cars... Any input would be greatly appreciated... Maybe they're similar to the new Chargers and Challengers?

Thanks again to anybody that might be able to offer any input!

I know I did see somthing out there that describes dismantling the shift lever to pull ther center console, I don't remember what and where it was.
If I can remember it, I'll post the link. Check your owner's manual on over-riding the brake/shift interlock.

I have one in my shop right now for a 3 letter agency. It is very simular to a charger. I just started it yesterday so its still in the beginning stages. Monday I will be getting more into the serious install work.

Like most dodge shift handles, just pull up hard on it, it should pop right off...

Hey i cant view it as i am not a member but if you go to Chrysler 300 Forum - Forums and Owners Club! and sign up ask them.. i belong to the dodge nitro one and there are some people that can send you documents on how to do exactly what you want. they are the reason i was able to do what i did in my truck.

I'm sorry - I completely forgot that I had posted this in here and a guy over at LXForums actually showed me how it's done. In case anybody else comes by with the question, here's how it's done:

Not hard you just have to know what to remove first...

First you have to remove the shifter knob . using a thin flat head screwdriver pry between the leather part and the chrome ring pushing done on the chrome ring . the shifter will separate and the chrome ring will slid down . now to remove the shifter there us a small black clip that needs to be pulled out just below the front of the shifter below the leather handle part. once you pull the clip the handle just slide off the metal shaft. once that is off you will need a fiber stick or other non metal pry tool and pry in between the top console wood cover and the back near the cup holder . the shifter plate is just held in place with snap in clips no screws. so pry up at the back then along the sides till the shifter cover is free and put aside . now you will see the 2 screws that hold the cubby /power outlet in its place, remove the 2 screws and you then grab hold of the bottom of the cubby and pull it out of the dash again it also has metal clips holding it in place . so your going to have to pull with some force . and there you go .
