CFD MARS Skybolt Lightbar / Video added-

I received this bar, who will join my collection, it was installed on a police car from the city of Streator, Illinois, in the 70's.
I received it with a loudspeaker signal CP Federal-100 that I replaced with light of 888 MARS.

That is identical to a Chicago FD bar. Except it would have had a green light in the passenger side can light.

What a beauty! That light bar looks almost new...was it restored or just handled with care all these years?

Interesting that a police car would have had an 888 light instead of a siren speaker. This looks more like a fire department application.

He said he replaced the speaker with a Mars 888, that is what made it so cool.

    Wow!

One question, is there a video?

You are lucky to be able to call you an owner of a pice like that.

    Wonderful!

As a kid I always loved going down to Chicago and seeing that set-up, our local PD/FD cars used a single Beacon Ray and a pair of lolli's which was pretty boring by comparison. Some engines used 888's & AB's so it wasn't all bad, but I always loved the CFD cars the best.

    Way cool!
We the willing, led by the unknowing; have been doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have been doing so much for so long with so little; we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.
