In the cloak of darkness, in a temporary top secret lab and (in an undisclosed location of course) . . . .
Well after years of looking for a deal on a Mars Borealis, I decided I was going to play around and make my own. I have been thinking about doing this for a long time and after locating all the parts, the fun began. My first intent was to try some of my ideas out. The Code 3 version was born. I had the stingers and thought, man, what if I put them all together in a Code 3 mini SD? Of course if it was going to be Code 3, all the parts had to be Code 3. After I mounted them in there, I thought to myself, self, this could almost be a Borealis. So I worked on the design and Viola! I am almost done. I am fabricating a few more pieces, but I could not wait to share it, so here you go. The rear lights go side to side like the Mars Borealis. I think the next version I will attempt to recreate the original Mars Borealis. The only major obstacle is going to be the lense. I might just have to learn some vacuum forming techniques
THE VIDEO AS REQUESTED ! ! ! ENJOY ! !
Although I originally intended to use 3 stingers as seen in the photos, I opted to use 2 (it was a little tight with all 3).
