Dominion Auto and Hill light fans, now with video with a clear dome :D

    Hello friends,

here I have what I think is a first on ELB. Dominion Automotive fans, as well as Hill Lights fans will be pleased with this one.
It is a Dominion Automotive 357F Hill Light, although it is labelled as a regular 357 Series F on the tag. I got this one from the same guy who sold me the red and blue 2 beamers I used to recreate the Montreal PD crossbar last summer. 2 of the 4 bulbs are straight, one is angled 15 degrees downward, the other one 15 upward. It is fitted with an amber lens, but according to the tag on the base, in reference with the markings inside the base, I believe it was first fitted with a red dome. A nice bonus is the gasket and chrome base are still almost like new. It runs nice and quiet.
I'd like to convert it to clear, shall I ever find a clear dome.

Here's some pictures and a video of it. Notice the up-straight-down-straigth pattern on the wall at the end of the video.

Let me know what you think!

    -Toon

That's not a real hill light!! Some fat guy sat on the bulbs while the dome was off.

Just bent them over a little bit.

    J/K, very nice light.

Dan is that your Canadienne impression: keepre??

Getting closer to be a "real" hill light with a clear dome

Thanks for the positive comments, everyones
Here's a video of the light, now with a clear dome I got from another DA man: Richard P. I've been looking for a clear lens for years.
I configured it red-clear, mainly because these were the spare colored bulbs I had laying around but would maybe change it to red-clear-blue-clear someday. All bulbs are 4416 and 4416R. This will remind some members here of the O.P.P
    Thanks again, Richard!

red/clear is more accurate for that time period in Canada than blue mixed in. Very cool light.
