FS Magna Beam for the collection.

Last year I saw a dealer that had a FS Magna beam for sale and didnt get it. Hoping that I would run across one. Well it didnt happen till this weekend. I finally got one for the collection. More a collectable now over a vintage light tho. I picked up this NIB, NOS, Dual speed Magna beam model FB 4 SD-c So here is is, a welcome addition.

SD / side facing reflector for dual color capability. Good one.
All were dual speed, but few SD, although you could make a standard MagnaBeam into a SD.

Thanks guy's I was kickn myself for not grabbing one from last year. Would like to find a NOS half dome in Green and Amber and also Blue. Really liked the CIE Blue one Eric6913 has here My New Federal Signal c.i.e. blue Magna-beam. Also here is the PDF link from FS http://www.pwservice.com/PDF_doc/412...naBeam%20L.pdf

Nice find, Hoser! I've got an FB4 front-facing dual-speed and they are cool dashlights.

Never saw one, and, as far as I know, they never advertised that model. Does it have a Magnabeam sticker?
This woud be a rare one.

John, I was wondering about that when I was reading the PDF here Page Not Found by the way it reads I took it that there were signal speeds but It really doesnt go into as much detail with the Magna beams as it does the Firebeam lights.

Single speed, oscillating.... no circuitry for switch, standard single speed setup.... no tag on bottom.... can be set to oscillate in several positions..... it's set to side oscillate.

Could be a single speed rotator with the gears changed.... looks factory though... no signs of things being removed or changed... These are pretty modular.... anything's possible as far as custom order or field upgrade.

I had thought it was a rotator with the arm and extra gear added...... but I just took it apart and the extra wheel/gear doesn't look like it was added, and the worm gear and motor shows no sign of change-out. Odd....

John from what I can see It looks like nothing has been changed. Interesting though, makes you wonder how many Single Speed are out there??
