Still steady burnin' on my new cruiser.
Hi guys and girls.
I know you haven't seen me on here much lately, as life is hectic these days. for those new members that don't know me, I go way back on this board (although maybe not as far back as the really old guys like PIMP)..
Anyway, I'm kind of known as the California Steady Burn freak, even though I'm near Boston, Mass.
I put this here in the vintage section because 1; I consider a red bulb in a car spotlight vintage lighting, and 2; this is where I'm most well known. Please move if deemed neccesary.
So here is my new (to me) 2007 ex-Maine state cruiser outfitted for call fire duty...with vintage, and modern steady burn red, of course.
PS.. I'm 50 now, and my midlife crises made me install the 18" Mustang GT wheels, and the Mercury Marauder rear spoiler

Nice car Bob.
As always, I like the steady burn.

Thanks, The spotlight and the Tomar Rect-8 next to the rvm are both steady burn, the grote par36 leds behind the grill are self strobing non-sync.
The rear deck light is a vintage federal signal LED unit that I gutted, and retrofitted with the two big square leds out of a Galls visor light. much brighter than the FS leds, and still California retro looking.

Bob... Really? The Marauder spoiler? If any, (and if), positive down force air management that it might have assisted with would be void due to the air disturbance caused by the spotlight fixed in its "Up-Forward" position! LOL J/K Good to see you sir~! I thought I was the only "Geezer" that had gone underground!

Just because you can do something doesn't necessarily mean that you should do it.

All that steadyin' - do the turn signals flash?

I am not saying I do not like the car at all, do not take it the wrong way.
But I am just not used to seeing rims on a CVPI, I am used to stock steel wheels, so it looks out of place to me, as well as the spoiler. Just not used to it. Even on the Marauders I have seen in person.
Usually when rims are on a CVPI it was from an auction and someone is behind the wheel that looks like they should be sitting in the back seat.
With that said, I always love how you have the steady red, and I LOVE the red unity. The rear deck lights.
You always find a way to add those personal touches that just makes it look so outstanding.

Thanks for all the comment guys.
One thing that attracted me to the car was the funny blue color, whichs looks completely different in day, night, dusk, dawn. It is Ford Fleet code LN, and is the standard Maine State Police color. Even though this car had no decals or lightbar, it was painted in a marked unit color.
I do have the original 17" wheels with the gray plastic full wheel covers. I also have the small chrome smoothies, and the small chrome "Lug Nut" dog dishes. So I can change it up any time I want.
The spoiler is hardley noticeable at first glance, and most people don't even realize its there untill I point it out. I was just having a little fun with the look of the car, and can make it look completely stock in 30 minutes.
Heres a few wheel options:
Stock wheels and wheel covers (oh, did I mention I have two CVPI's?):
