Whelen light demo boards. Video added 9/27

I just got these in from a board member..... they need a few lenses and lights here and there.... but I couldn't pass them up. They come with either the flasher or power supply needed mounted on the back, all you need to do is add 12v dc.

Very cool! When I visited their factory in NH the install guys said they normally strip the demo boards for low-budget installs for the local emergency agencies.

A little off topic but relevant to the older demo boards- are the Whelen 73/64/97 Series lights compatible in size to the current 600/700/900 Series? Our heavy rescue is all of the older halogen style and I'd like to upgrade them to LED in the future if it's not too much of a PITA.

You're going to need a big box van, with a lot of surface area, to mount all those lights.

No, he's going to mount them on the ceiling over his bed.

Now those are cool to have! I would assume these can become collector items as well.

Am I guessing right? Are the holes in the lenses on the 200 Series LEDs so you can change the flash patterns by "Shorting" the pins?

Very nice John! It is always hard to display flush mount lights nicely and usually involves some creative handy work to build something.

Yes, the 600/700/900-series LEDs have the same dimensions as their 64/73/97-series counterparts, screw-holes and all.

I still need a Darth Vader beacon.... I also don't collect whelen crossbars... and my rotabeams will never come close to dmathieu's .... but other than that I think I have a decent whelen collection.

Very good find John! They will look awesome in your display room. They are obviously going to be functional for display, am I correct?
I love Winky Blinkies, especially MARS products!

Yeah, I have 4 of them working now... and parts to do 2 more... then I'll hunt down the other two probably... but they will be functional when displayed.
