    Cannot edit in For Sale

I have a multi-post sale ad in Vintage and I was going to update one of the sale "post" sections and found that the "edit post" link is not available. I only have the option in my original post describing the sale with buyers' instructions. I would like to mark items sold in my Lens and Dome department but cannot at the moment. Is there an issue with something or am I missing something?

There was recently a glitch discovered with the "edit" feature. The admin team resolved the issue.

Users can only edit the first post in a FS thread, as that is where any and all changes/additions/subtractions, etc must be made.

Also, slightly off topic, when a FS thread goes "multi-page" - the first post in the thread is shown on every page. (so users will not have to skip to page one to see whats for sale, etc)
An annoyance online since original BBS days- early 90's. Damn I miss modem tones... but not 14.4 kbit/s.

You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I'm going to get and beat you with until you understand who's in command here.... (best quote ever!)

motorolamaniac- I just took a look @ your FS thread- my best suggestion would be to lock it up, and start a new one, and keep all the items in the first post.

OK, Thanks. I have a few items from this thread to finish up this week and will have most of the NOS items sold by then it looks. Will make a condensed new post then soon.

Posts outside of the classifieds forums can only be edited for a short time after they are posted. After that, they cannot be edited at all. This goes for attachments and threat titles.

Inside the classifieds forum, you can still edit the first post and thread title indefinitely.

This afternoon I updated my thread title in a 'Wanted' thread. I noticed that it was not updated on the main page's 'Last Post' display. I did refresh a few times and relaunch the browser. Not a major concern, however.

You still need to make a new post stating "thread updated!"

    Same issue

I am experiencing the same issue. I can change the title of the first post, but not the actual title of the thread. Why is that? I updated my forsale thread and would like to change the title to accomidate some new items I added.

I'll throw in just to say that changing the title of my FS thread only shows the change inside the thread, but not in the FS forum list of threads.

I think John and I are fighting each other when it comes to adjusting this setting.

You should be able to edit your thread title as needed, using both methods. Please try it and report back.

    Thanks
