Hang in there...... some little things still need done

The bulk of the board is transfered to Vbulliten. Some little things like ranks and tags aren't completed yet. Over the next few days I will be going through and ensuring that all the user info and other details are the same. Please hang in there.

    Chat

123 flash chat will be added to the site once I am satisfied that the new version is running smoothly. Also you will have to reload your avatars, they didn't transfer right.

Take a minute and look around at the features.... I think you'll like it.

Looking good so far, a couple requests:

Can we get the time between PMs down lower? Right now it is at 60 seconds, it was 15 on the old board?
Can we get PM space increased above 250 messages? I'm someone who likes to keep things forever, so 1000 would be nice, but I understand if you don't have the server space.

    Thanks,

    -Jared

If you click on your username and view your profile, you'll see a link to view all of your posts and another for all of your threads. It will soon be added into the menu that pops up when you click on your name to make things easier.

Hey I made it.. Holy different. Also figured out the font size code is different here..
An annoyance online since original BBS days- early 90's. Damn I miss modem tones... but not 14.4 kbit/s.

Yeah, there are a few places where tiny little text is now big... something I'll have to get to here in the next few days

You can now access that link simply by clicking on your username (next to all of your posts). That will work to view your own or anyone else's posts/threads.

Ok, I'll ask- Who is the eLightbars Support Staff member? is that a automated forum thing, or just another username for you John?

Also, as others have mentioned, the PM box size needs to be increased.. I'm over capacity. :P

I lost alot of my PMs during the move. I used to have 30 something messages, now I only have about 7 or 8. Also where is the setting to change the style of the board. I miss my old style. Of course you probably already know this, but it shows me as a Senior Member. I find that offensive. Lol just playing, Mine needs to say Contributing member, unless that has reset since the move.

    PMs?

My only problem (so far) is not being able to send a PM and the note I receive when I try to send one says that I have exceeded my PM limit (see below). I deleted a number of older PMs (to below 250) and I still get the same message.

    " Errors
The following errors occurred with your submission
You have reached your stored private message quota and cannot send any further messages until space has been created.
CT-Lighting has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."

    Chief,

    Re: Contributing Member

I think this is what John meant when the opening post says:

"Hang in there...... some little things still need done

I am a contributing member also and I am currently shown as a member. I believe that John has to edit each member's profile individually, to add the "Contributing Member" tag, and that will take a bit of time.

The only issue I'm having is that after I log in, the first thing that shows up is the forum with the "locked" icon in all the sub-forums. If I click on the "Forum" tab in the top left they all show normally then.

What happens with me is it logs me back out instantly. I have to click "remember me" in order to view the board. If I don't I am kicked off and am instantly taken back into the login screen. I finally figured this out after having reset my password 2 or 3 times.

    And no smiley's yet?

I am kinda having the same issue, but when I log in, I have to click on the "Click here if you are not automatically redirected" and I have to log in 3 times in a row to stay logged in.

It seems every Vbulletin site I visit is like this.

Yea that's fine about the ranks I was just messing around. The main reason for the post which was about the PM's. Now I have all my PMs but now my inbox is full, or was until I deleted them. My question is now, why are Sent Messages counting towards the Inbox limit level?

    Things I've noticed so far...

I've had to re-read all my PMs both sent and received.
I've lost all my subscribed threads
I've lost all my bookmarked threads
I had to re-attach all my pictures but I need to find one more that was lost
The size allowed for the pictures is smaller than the old setup
    No themes for the board

I'm sure there are other things and YES I do know some of these have been addressed but I'm just giving a list.

Other than that, I'm happy with the new board
I also know it will take some time to tweak the settings, I'm patent

Thanks to John and the rest of the Admin / Mod team for putting together a great site icon_thumbup.gif

All things we are working on..... We launched as soon as the site worked, the ironing of details will occur in the next day or so. Keep listing stuff like this here so we can have an idea of the little issues that need addressed.

Marking topics read? I read the topics, but they still show unread. Also, no button to mass 'mark all tpics read'.

There is a way to mark them all read.. .see below. As far as them not showing up read.... do they don't show as read when you read them now... or from when you read them on the old board?
