I updated the title for the op. I assume this has to do with editing your thread time limits.

Title editing (same problem as TritonBoulder47)

Just noticed - when I updated my thread - I can't update the main title, only the sub-title:

    http://elightbars.org/f16/blue-red-w...be-bars-24284/

Its' the same problem as TritonBoulder47 had in the locked thread below...

I just tried to update my wanted thread, and it didn't change the title that is displayed on the page, only the sub-title when you open the thread...

Did you try the method of double clicking on your thread title cell in the forum view?

I am currently encountering this same problem with editing images as the OP, any ideas? I could change the title fine.

I'd like to thank the tech team for all of their efforts on this site.

What other method are people trying? Changing the title within the thread only changes that post, not the whole thread (even if it's the first post).

I've always done it by opening the thread and clicking "edit post" at the bottom of the original post, and its always changed it before...

I had always used the double click method so I guess I never noticed the change. I am unsure if the change was an intended update or an error caused by the editing permissions.

Hey....it will all get worked out in the end so I am not even remotely worried about it. I was able to also use the double click to update my post.

I did...I double-clicked on it, changed the wording, and it showed a little progress circle, as if loading...But it never stopped, it just kept loading. So I refreshed the page, but the change wasn't there. For reference:EMT-BLS's FS Thread

Well since unlisted closed my thread, I'll post here.

Double clicking doesn't work for me....it just hangs there with the spinning updater deal....not sure what you call it. It sat for 18 mins before I closed it.....

    Editing a title

I have tried to correct spelling in a title and could not do it.

Is there a way for me to correct a title?

This is what we all seem to be waiting for...is how to fix it....

  26. #56
The inability to edit the title within the thread is a permissions issue. As far as why the above "click the title while viewing the forum method" isn't working in a mystery. It works for me and for Jman even with test accounts... we are working on it, but Jman is focusing more on the new classifieds.

Ok. We are still looking into it... and still trying to replicate it on our end.
