Ebay Quad Interior Visor Light(updated 1-13-2012)

I figured I do a review of a set of visor lights I got off Ebay, I seen a few on here asking about them.
The lights I bought were from seller from Hong Kong, I paid $125 with free shipping, shipping was surprisingly fast as well. I am not going to post pics of the un boxing, but the lights came very nicely wrapped up in bubble wrap, it took me a while to them unwrapped an un boxed .

The lights I got are pretty much the same as the Voltex lights, the only difference is the Voltex lights come with a lighted control box, as the one I got does not, just a cigarette plug. The plug to connect both lights is a four pin style connector, and has a good amount of length to it.

The mounting plates are the same as the one that come with the ones that Advance warning lights is selling, in all honesty, these lights are almost the same as the ones from Advance

The only thing that I did not get, is the mounting piece to use the suction cups, although my lights did come with them.
Now it does not state what gen the LED's are but I am going to say that they are same as the ones from Advance. It list them as being 1watt .

Now here are some pics, I had to trim the mounting plate to get mine to fit in my car, and I messed up on the passenger side and trimmed the wrong side of , oooppps. I do have a lot of back flash on to the lower part of the windshield, I think I need to adjust the mounting plate and see if I can bring the bottom up a little bit.
    Video coming soon

Night-time videos aren't the best way to review these, all lights are bright at night. To see the true quality, get some daylight videos, some facing the sun, some with the sun in the background, so we can see if these truly are bright or not. Also, if you have any name-brand lights(Fed Sig, Whelen...), maybe a side-by-side comparison? Obviously, it won't be as good as the name brand stuff, but it'll let us gauge it for ourselves.

I think I might be able to angle the lights up a little more , that might help a little with the flash back

idk if it would help but i have used rubber line like a vacuum hose or fuel line on an avenger on the windshield. Take a razor blade and split the line on one side and just slip it on. Might have to get a few different sizes to see which one best helps. Did a good job on the review by the way.

The lights did come with a rubber piece that goes on the edge, but they fall off really easy, so they were not on. Yes the top window tint sucks, thats another reason why I put in the rear window, it has factory tint, but I think they were a little brighter, both videos had the lights facing the sun as well.

And there is no way I could lower the lights any in the front window, so maybe next time I get the windshield replace I will see if I can one with out the tint on top .
