    Nice install apart for the china garbage. I had a customer today who wanted a ledoutfitters mini bar. I explained him for the same price I can get him a mini pinnacle. I ordered it already for him. I would hate to have to deal with this customer when his
    Leds start burning out and become dim. At least he has some reliable LEDs in the install.

    Chicago has no sense of humor when it comes to emergecny lights in POV's. The dont have the political inroads like NYC to get what they want. There is really no reason to have Hatzola in the neighborhoods that they would cover as CFD, Skokie , Linconwood have plenty of ambulance and paramedic engines.If they want to have a first responder that is fine but 9 times out of 10 the FD will be there first with some ALS care. Threre is a strong Mutual aid system to handle any abundance of calls. There are 4 hospitals within 10 minutes of every direction 2 of them are Level 1 trauma centers. The Jewish communtiy hasnt needed their own ambulance or EMS for the 70 years since the area was settled by their families. Also alot of the families have moved from the city to the suburbs of Buffalo grove, Lincolnshire, Long grove and Wheeling and are pretty far removed from the area that they would cover.

    Regardless of Chicago Hatzolah's issues, that was a gorgeous install. I think the dash is a bit more cluttered than it should be; I was never a fan of the LED/FireBeam combo. Rather move the LED to the passenger side visor.

    A gourgeous install would be not using shelving brackets and pipe strap to mount things

    Should have raised the front dash LED to the top and keep the rotator on the bottom. gone NYPD style, lol.

    Yea right What year was that 1920? Here are the facts.

    The National Fire Protection Association recommends a total response time from dispatch to arrival at emergency of not more than 5 minutes and 30 seconds. The CFD average time is 4 minutes and 15 seconds (CFD, 2008). The response time in the primary Jewish neighborhood is much faster because the fire house is right in the center .

    By law there is no provision for lights and siren in POV unless your the FIRE Chief and the District or Village gives that person permission. Section 2.1 spells that out.

    Illinois Compiled Statutes 625 ILCS 5 Illinois Vehicle Code. Section 12-215

    Sec. 12-215. Oscillating, rotating or flashing lights on motor vehicles. Except as otherwise provided in this Code:

    (a) The use of red or white oscillating, rotating or flashing lights, whether lighted or unlighted, is prohibited except on:

    1. Law enforcement vehicles of State, Federal or

    local authorities;

    2. A vehicle operated by a police officer or county

    coroner and designated or authorized by local authorities, in writing, as a law enforcement vehicle; however, such designation or authorization must be carried in the vehicle;

    2.1. A vehicle operated by a fire chief who has

    completed an emergency vehicle operation training course approved by the Office of the State Fire Marshal and designated or authorized by local authorities, in writing, as a fire department, fire protection district, or township fire department vehicle; however, the designation or authorization must be carried in the vehicle, and the lights may be visible or activated only when responding to a bona fide emergency;

    3. Vehicles of local fire departments and State or

    federal firefighting vehicles;

    4. Vehicles which are designed and used exclusively

    as ambulances or rescue vehicles; furthermore, such lights shall not be lighted except when responding to an emergency call for and while actually conveying the sick or injured;

    5. Tow trucks licensed in a state that requires such

    lights; furthermore, such lights shall not be lighted on any such tow truck while the tow truck is operating in the State of Illinois;

    6. Vehicles of the Illinois Emergency Management

    Agency, vehicles of the Illinois Department of Public Health, and vehicles of the Department of Nuclear Safety;

    7. Vehicles operated by a local or county emergency

    management services agency as defined in the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act;

    8. School buses operating alternately flashing head

    lamps as permitted under Section 12-805 of this Code;

    9. Vehicles that are equipped and used exclusively as

    organ transplant vehicles when used in combination with blue oscillating, rotating, or flashing lights; furthermore, these lights shall be lighted only when the transportation is declared an emergency by a member of the transplant team or a representative of the organ procurement organization; and

    10. Vehicles of the Illinois Department of Natural

    Resources that are used for mine rescue emergency response.

    That is what I used to mount equipment in my console. But I'm not a professional. I'm a volunteer, and it was what was around (read: free) and still works and looks awesome. I get complements on the setup all the time.

    that's band iron weak as crap i use
    18 gauge (.048”) galvanized steel strap, 5/16” diameter holes. its used to install car radios that weigh 4 times more the my 8 ounce lights also good luck finding it in a hardwood store for the shelving brackets that can hold a load of 350 pounds with nuts and bolts holding it to the bumper that are holding no more the 5 pounds in speakers i would say that the speaker the brackets and the steal bumper will find its way into the engine all together if the car gets into a accident god forbid and the middle speaker has 2 nuts and bolts holding it into place picture was before finishing install i don't screw around or cut corners ever i believe in the right way every wire at the right gauge and right size fuse unlike some people that would install a speaker with a regular drywall screw or worse tie wraps
    also all nuts and bolts are rated for the application i use them in and they all get washers lock washers and thread lock so their wont be any vibration noise when using the siren which i hear all the time drives the poop out of me
    if your going to do it, do it once do it right
