CSX Police 2003 Tahoe. The grille lights are not split, but definitely need a flash pattern change...

Probably already been replaced-the tag expired in '09. Having dealt with CSX in the past, the pattern does not surprise me.

The grille lights are ABSOLUTELY split fail. That's a textbook example of Type A split fail.

Slow would be nice if they were split color heads, but being single color they should be faster and synced.

There is absolutely no good reason to have split head lights of the same color (except for having half steady burn and half flash, and that's only if there is no low power mode), and depending on the laws of your state they may not even count as emergency lighting (for example, if your state requires a red or blue flashing light be visible from 500ft guess what, they aren't!). The best only thing for them to do without replacing the lights would be to alternate all of the red with all of the blue.

If split fail was a crime, this one would be a Class A Felony. For 1, there is no reason to split a lighthead that small. Just not enough output. For 2, when you split a lighthead of the same color, from a distance of more than 150 feet you get a steady burn effect. You cant tell that they are alternating.

Ding Ding my point exactly, and with the power and size of those things I'd say even closer than that. Remember the video of the pumper that had w/w split heads and you couldn't even tell they were emergency lights until someone pointed it out?
