    Coleman Surplus

Ordered a surplus whelen beacon U.S. G.I. 24V DC Revolving Blue Vehicular Light [469401] - $29.95 :: Colemans Military Surplus LLC - Your one-stop surplus store with Army/Navy products for hunting gear, camping gear, emergency products, and survival products

What arrived was a generic rotator of much different dimensions made by some unknown company. It looks nothing like the picture and isn't even close in dimensions. I will update this if they respond to my message/emails, or if this becomes a paypal dispute.

    John,

I order two of them about month ago, they came brand new in the box. They were Whelen RB6T's (blue), I even converted them from 24 to 12 volt.

    Best of luck,

What I got is some 28 volt 2 sealed beam light made by Phamtom . I would imagine they got a mixed lot of lights and had no idea there were two or three models in the container.

Ugh that stinks. My first dealing with them was last week when I bought that Mars "skybolt" (using the term loosely). It arrived with a dome featuring cracks around the screw holes and a dead bulb...

My "skybolt" came just fine, but I ordered mine years ago when they were pulling from the top of the pile.

I may keep it. I would like the one i ordered if they have it though. This light has a place for 2 more sealed beams. I may add them if I keep it.

Does the light you got actually have PAR36 bulbs in it? It appears it has 4416s in there...

The design looks German (European-ish purple hue), but the link appears to be an American company.

It's a CIE complaint beacon designed for 28v heavy equipment. The company that makes it does lots of military contract work.

The day I got the wrong light I emailed them. If they replied it got sorted as spam or something.... I never saw any reply... but today the correct light showed up w/o explanation or return label to ship the other one back. So they made good on the deal. I'm sure it's hard to tell the unlabeled boxes of lights apart.

Yeah, saw that. was wondering if the S&H for everyone else was about $15 (as i calculated it).

I'd like one of those dual parabolic reflector models for my collection.
