Negative for David Linville...... so far........

Well again it seems i am going to get screwed outta of some more lights and money....... It all started with a friendly trade My New/Demo Star 9200HM Mini Bar,a Code 3 Dashlaser and $30 for the following, Whelen Dual Dasmaster, 2 Star Hot Shots, 2 Whelen Cadets , Five0light and a Fed Sig Firebeam. As soon as we confirmed the deal i sent out the lights and a money order via usps the next afternoon on August 1st and the package was confirmed delivered by David and USPS. Well he said he would ship the lights in trade out around the next day or 2 and almost 15 days later. hardly any contact from him and what little its "Stand By" or "hang on" or "ill get you the information tomorrow" and so on. But what really made me know that im gonna get screwed is he said "fedex loses my packages i ship out all the time and its not my fault"................. and he wont give me a tracking number or receipt or anything. I even explained to him that "i work hard for my money just like others and i dont just get lights to trade for free so from one brother from another please hold up your end of the deal"....... This is just stupid. I even stopped the fedex driver today and he said there hasnt been any drop off's at my place in a long time. Also he has already sold the lights i sent him and now someone else is selling them........ I geuss i should stick to "in god we trust, but no one else".

    My spidey senses are tingling....

Not like the Star 9200 in green, NEW..... is all that common of a bar. Plus, guy is from WV. I'd reckon someone's trying to sell a stolen bar?

That sucks, did you get hold of local law enforcement on your end and in his hometown? I had one deal where I had to do that to get what I purchased. The sellers local PD was great at getting the deal to move forward and all worked out. I didnt even have to talk to them did it all by email, sent them copy's of everything. I had paid with a USPS postal money order and got them Involed also. Seem's like this has been happening alot as of late. Best of luck.

AH! SO! If you used a Postal Money Order to pay for your stuff
and the sale was across state lines, then you are looking at the
very least at TWO counts of a FEDERAL CRIME!

Get the U.S. Postal Inspectors involved! THEY love to go after
people like him! And I'm sure that the FBI would also love to go
    after crimes involving Interstate Commerce!

You should also mention this to the local police departments and
they might speed things up! And mention that this seems to be a
    repeat thing with this individual!

A good suggestion. I have had good results this way,

Probably not. The FBI likes to involve themselves when needed...ie at their discretion or at the request of local or state agencies.... I have been told they are not too receptive to reports of property crimes between two people. But the worst that happens is they say no or point you somewhere else.

Another good suggestion. Results will vary from extremely helpful.... "he's already locked up", to not so helpful, "come fill out a report in person".....
