Thread: FOUND! SVP Vortex strobe

I'm looking for an SVP Vortex strobe dashlight. Any color is fine. PM me if you have one. I have Blue TIR3 and TIR3 style lights to trade, or cash.

The Vortex is very hard to come by. It was made by Southern Vehicle Products but was not continued by Signal Vehicle Products after they were purchased by STAR in 2000.

Southern Vehicle - Strobes

No where on there does it list if it's a Southern product. Possiblity it might be an imposter.

Ok I shall bite, whats so special about this strobe?

I checked there a couple days ago, and he said they haven't had any in about 5 years.

As for what is so special about this light....for me it is a few things:

1: It is a unique light that is not often seen
2: I'm trying to do a "period correct" install on my 98 Tahoe, and this would look great on the dash, as opposed to a Dashmiser that is/was more commonly used.
