too bad you didnt make this post sooner. because i had a Amber Federal Signal Highlighter and a walmart brand amber beacon. both were halogen rotator

Have just refurbed this back towards the end of football season and added a new power cord that is approximately 12ft. long with cigarette lighter plug on it and 4 new 45 lb magnets.
I ran it up to 90 mph and light didn't move. It's pretty tough to get off of the vehicle, it slams down pretty good, so be careful with it if you purchase it.
