Thanks for the site!
I have been collecting WWII for a while now. Ran across this modern stuff and am not sure what it is? Any Ideas?

definetly to new to be wwII
welcome to the site. this question is in the wrong forum. this is for introductions. also you MUST state an area (preferably STATE) unless moderatos have been given a reason why your local needs to be "secret"
however
it appears to be an amplifier/controller for a miltary issue radio.
do you deal with alot of military surplus iems? can you get your hands on a sincgars based long range antenna system in a bag?
Well, what's this year got in store?

USA MD4 PostsRadio?
I stand corrected on my secret where a bouts. Ha! Sorry for the over site.
I do not collect radio equipment, but more and more I am finding 'lots' with everything thrown in.
I do have contacts that handle just radios and such. I will be more than happy to pass on your request.
If you want to PM me I will put the word out for you.
We figure this piece to be a mobile base of some sort?

It appears you have a vehicle adapter mount for the Thales MBITR radios.

Kalamazoo, MI239 Postsbase for walkie-talkies, missing hand-helds; do you have them? They are not in the pic. They slid into the rectangular slots. mid/late Iraq war. jitters is having trouble with them I do not think they are liked. The bases were placed in vehicles and used as signal bouncers for the hand-helds.
It is like us fire/police/ems with our 900 mhz vs. VHF, pros and cons for both. (imho) I do not need to talk to dispatch four states away, I just want to call my dispatch 5 miles away and tell them I am out to lunch! And the military wants a hand-held that can do everything but then the person carrying the hand-held needs a lot of training to use it. And maybe all they want to do is communicate with their team in a near-by humvee; and he/she doesn't need GPS, digital, encryption, computer functions, etc. that the sand loves to eat up.Last edited by boboloo; June 14th, 2012 at 01:19 PM.

Kalamazoo, MI239 PostsYour base is a charger too, but it is likely 24volts.
