    Wilton EMS: Lime Green Ambulance

This bus belongs to Wilton EMS in Wilton, NY. Saw it on a scene of a MVA in Greenfield. To see more videos from the scene, check out my youtube channel. FYI, it's a hypothetical question.

Austin Travis County is regarded as one of the best EMS systems in the USA, and the world. They are lime green:

In the 1970's , Cleveland, Ohio Police Wagons and Fire Squads were forced by the mayor's office, to go to Lime Green on most vehicles.

The Fire had 4 squads, and police did a lot of meat wagon runs with Rambler Station Wagons, all lime green.

The gurneys barely fit into the Ramblers.

Cleveland Fire Chief ordered all new lime green vehicles to have Gold Leaf on their sides, to take away from the Limeness.

I can assure you, the Henrico rig is lime green. Park it next to a Chesterfield yellow ambulance and there's no comparison. It might not be as green as the OP's, I'll conceed that...

This is the first time I've seen one. Wow it does look bad. But it's not the cab itself, as I can tell that it hasn't changed, but the hood looks like it is off of one of their heavier duty trucks. Definately looks mismatched.

    Screaming Bananas are fairly common.

There used to be a lot more of them, but there seems to be a changeover in progress to other schemes.

I remember the first time I saw green being used on any apparatus. I was a kid at the time and it was down in the Englishtown NJ area (Old Bridge Township, I believe). Being an NYC boy where EVERYTHING was either red or blue, it totally blew me away! lol

I didn't think it could get any worse than the current-gen Ford E-series and F250+ front end!

In my original post that wouldn't load, I made reference to that. Somehow it got left out when I re posted.
Also, if you've been around our area long enough, you may remember some of the older trucks had a more greenish tint to it.

Dang it! Ya beat me to it. Yes, Henrico County Fire Department's ambulances are painted to match their apparatus. Volunteer groups and private ambulance companies choose their own paint schemes and that distinguishes them from the county owned units.

The Concord Township Fire Department in Elkhart, IN utilizes lime green apparatus. Their buses are all white with a "Minute Man Green" accent.
