    Diode to the 7-way plug?

I'm going to try to make this as short as possible, but I have a lot swirling in my head. So the scope is we are installing a warning light package, rewiring factory lights, adding LED marker light, installing interior lighting, and adding four 10" 100watt LED lightbars (flood/spot) in a cargo...

    2020 Ford PIU wiring updates.

From what I’ve heard and this may or may not be true, but none of the vehicles are equipped with the 60A option even though they are selling it as an option. A ford engineer would be the best one to ask. I ran my own wiring to my speakers using pass through wires.

    2020 Ford PIU wiring updates.

Yeah I just happen to be talking to one of the Ford engineers about some other stuff and they slip that to me. They are currently working up a new draft now so hopefully they’ll have a new one out soon.

    70RC6FCR steady burn?

I know! That’s why I wasted so much time going through those patterns. Finally had enough and called. They should have at least had another document for that specific light head or just included in the document you sent saying steady burn not available. Hopefully this will save someone in the...

    70RC6FCR steady burn?

Guess I should have been more clear when I posted the update. I already spoke to Whelen and found out that this model is not capable of a steady burn pattern.

    70RC6FCR steady burn?

This isn’t a steady burn model. The SCR is a steady burn lighthead that needs an external flasher. I was trying to get this “flashing light head” to a steady burn mode.

    70RC6FCR steady burn?

UPDATE: If anyone else runs into this, you can’t get these to do a steady burn.

    70RC6FCR steady burn?

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but can you not make these lightheads steady burn? Clear and red split color. I’ve tried and tried and also used my scan lock programmer no success.

    Need help programming a 940N-siren

Tomar 940N Siren Amp to 970L scorpion lightbar. This isn't the DCP siren. I go through the instructions to program, but it won't let me do any changes. when I start the programming mode it blinks and lets me know it is in programming mode. I can bypass one of the configurations I need by...

Is there a good link for over the top chief vehicles, etc?

Thanks! I’ll have to keep the external flashers in mind. Haven’t used them before, but a good idea!

    Ray Allen K9 Trouble

Switches HAVE to be installed or the windows won’t work dummy :) Fan doesn’t turn off automatically after a test run. The HUD is not designed to recharge a remote pager once it reaches a certain point. It has to be connected to a wall charger to fully charge or it will shit the system down...

Is there a good link for over the top chief vehicles, etc?

When you say left to right your meaning the whole left side at one time then the whole right side? I actually like the Tracers on the rocker panel. I think most of it is personal preference. Also, at night they do a really good job for alley lighting as this one doesn't have a lightbar. Edit...

    Issues with drained batteries.

It's showing the repeater uses 15A on transmit as well so I could put One radio and a repeater on one chargeguard?

    Issues with drained batteries.

So a customer called me and told me they were experiencing battery problems They asked if I could install a second battery to prevent this. I told them it wasn't necessary to have a dual battery setup if the installation is done correctly. These are on some older vehicles that were built before...

Is there a good link for over the top chief vehicles, etc?

Just wanted to show what ended up happening with the build. I forgot I didn't post a video of it. I think it turned out pretty solid. They ended up not going with the Carbide system unfortunately so I did the best I could with the syncing. The customer was satisfied. Some of my first bits of...

    Ray Allen K9 Trouble

Installing the Ray Allen K9 F3 series into a 2009 Crown Vic. I've had several problems so far. It is a used system. My first problem is figuring out whats going on with the rear windows for this CVPI. The windows do not work at all in the rear. They don't have the switches installed in the...

    z3 software?

Good to know. I thought at first it was the controller because the black plastic housing the cat5 connects to pulled completely out(common problem on the older units) and the tech told me he was 100% sure there was a trace or pin broken because of this. I checked all the solder points etc and...

    2018 Ford PIU headlight question

Now I’m even more confused haha. I would assume they make the headlights to where you could use a twist lock style vertex or an ion? The headlight we had here looked like it could fit a whelen ion. It didn’t look like there a twist lock option on it. There’s so many different options . We use...

    2018 Ford PIU headlight question

Nice! I can kinda see it in there looks like a vertex or something similar? I haven’t looked into it much more, but I need to look into how to install the ions there if they didn’t come with it and the hole will accept it. Thanks for the pic!

    z3 software?

I just wanted to write a little update. I’m still not exactly sure what happened but what I found out is that that Siren amp went bad. Code 3 sent a brand new unit. once we put that new siren amp in all the lights started working. I know the vehicle was getting jump a lot because of a bad...

    z3 software?

Harrisonburg. After reading the troubleshooting manual and checking fuses (all fuses inside the amp are good) it seems that I’m not getting 12v to my inputs. I’m going to have to trace this stuff down and figure out why I lost it. Going to be fun. Whoever built this car did a crappy job. It’s a...

    z3 software?

I was just finishing up two vehicles that were already outiftted with code 3 systems. I had to change the batteries in both vehicles. I tested the first vehicle and finished up the remaining equipment for the install. Everything is good. When I was finishing up the second install the system will...

Idk. It’s already out the door. I checked for any other functions on the control wires and it didn’t have any.

    2018 Ford PIU headlight question

Definitely looks like PIU. They have the slot for the ions to go in. It’s says right on the headlight assembly police.

    2018 Ford PIU headlight question

Ahh... thanks for the picture. I see where the ions are suppose to go, but they did not come with it. The only option that came was the 21L aux warning lights. No wig wag function either. I tried all the factory wiring that controls with wag, etc. So we’re good. Thanks for the help gentlemen!

Pro Gard default combo for weapon storage drawer.

We’ve got it figured out. If anyone has any trouble shoot me a pm and I can try to help. I’m sure ProGard does not want me to blast their codes on here for everyone to see.

Pro Gard default combo for weapon storage drawer.

Hello. I have a 2018 Ford PIU, and I'm trying to wrap this thing up by tomorrow. I ran into a problem though. It's now Sunday, and no one will be available to take my call. I was wondering if Pro-Gard weapon storage drawers come with a default code? I can't open this thing to install...
