I'm looking to mount (2) radios in the center console of a retail Silverado (between the cupholders and the storage box).  Are there any "drop-in" plates available?  What other options are there aside from a whole new console?

Several things are a factor here....Budget? Is it okay to heavily mod the factory console or no?  Is it LT or SLT trim level?

If you have the LT you would probably be better off doing a new center console or bracket mount the radios to the lower dash area vertically.  Similar to these...

If you have the SLT (factory console goes up to the dash) you might be able to fab up or modify some Havis faceplates but will have to cut and mod the factory console pretty heavily.  Your best bet would probably be to go drop in replacement or fab up your own full replacement out of wood on a brand new vehicle.  That way you can reinstall the original when it comes time to sell.

Poke around on radioreference....these folks do some serious shadetree installs....
