hi.
I'm Opie. The Mac half of Mac-Stearns Emergency Lighting. I've been doing small upfits, and repairing other people's botched installs since I met my partner in crime, Bvfa23. I have zero formal training, but nothing irritates me more than sloppy wiring. We don't have a fixed shop, or location, but our real mission is to fix botched installs, usually in your firestation or driveway.
I specialize in retrofitting MX7000 and Excalibur based bars (MX, Excal, RX2700, LEDX2100)with newer generation LEDs, usually in the form of Feniex products, or newer Code 3 modules. I'm also starting to learn the Liberty series of bars by Whelen, but there is a whole lot fewer options with those models. If interested in doing one of these retrofits on your own, I'm always willing to give advice. I am also fully versed(well, not as much as FEVER) on the Feniex 4200, and Mini.
