Wanted Beacon Ray 17 Main gear

I'm looking for a main gear to get a Beacon Ray 17-A back online.  As you can see it's in pretty bad shape.  Anyone have a good one they don't want a fortune for?

Fibrous gear has been replaced with a plastic gear/clutch assy. Contact dcaptain for replacements.

It always wondered me why they did not use metal gears. Maybe noise? Maybe cost?  40-50 years ago things were always built better so seeing those type of gears surprised me for the first time.
